We people have ruined the environmet for so many birds and other sensitive animals and insects that we should shame on us. Fortunately Lapland where I now live has much untouchable wilderness and the Lappish people don't touch some animals and plants at all. The best people here are the sami people.

I remember when I was about 20 years old...so 45 years ago...walking the wood road I saw this little owl (if I translate is straight it is: Pearl Owl) They were sitting often on a sign where was: ”Nature Protection area”. The owls are often said to be very wise...but they coulnd't red or...

The finnish name comes from the colouring spotted brown and white. It is nestig in wood hiles or avians made for them. They eat small mammals which are a lot in woods.

The head is big...almost half of the bird and it turn it around very long way. The worst animal threats are woodowl and the northern Goshawk.
