Arkansas AG, File Criminal Charges Against Judge Boeckmann!

An Arkansas judge resigned this month after an ongoing investigation into allegations of misconduct and criminal acts. But so far this judge has not been officially charged with any crime.

According to Arkansas Matters, Judge Joseph Boeckmann was cautioned by the Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission in 2011 for “using his office for private interest.” Then in August, 2015 he came under investigation again for allegations of allowing defendants to work off fees or community service on his family farm.

The latter investigation led the JDDC to suspect criminal activity, and it was soon revealed that Boeckmann had allegedly given certain defendants light sentences in exchange for sexual favors.

More recently the investigation found over 4,000 photos on Boeckmann’s computer of inappropriate poses of young white men, many of whom were identified by the JDDC as former defendants in cases the judge had presided over, according to reports by Arkansas Online and The Guardian. Other sources say he was also accused of “possessing child pornography.”

The release of this newer evidence finally led to Boeckmann’s resignation and promise “to never seek employment as a local, county or state employee or public servant in the State of Arkansas.”

However, despite overwhelming evidence that Boeckmann was engaged in criminal activity, along with what JDDC director David Sachar described as "the worst case of judicial misconduct in Arkansas history,“ Broekman has neither been charged nor arrested.

Judges are supposed to be held accountable to the highest standards of conduct - not given preferential treatment by state authorities.

Sign this petition to demand Arkansas’ Attorney General file criminal charges against Judge Joseph Boeckmann, immediately.

To Arkansas's Criminal Justice Department and Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge:

On behalf of all US Citizens who deserve a fair and impartial justice system as a key component of their Constitutional right to due process, I am writing to insist that your office file criminal charges against Judge Boeckmann in lieu of the preferential treatment he has received so far by state and local authorities.

Among the most disturbing of the claims made by Boeckmann’s alleged victims is that at least one man did as Boeckmann demanded in order to see his own children, and that Boeckmann gave those he victimized preferential treatment in child custody cases in general, apparently disregarding what was in the best interest of the child in question.

Another serious concern that arises from a report by Arkansas Matters leaves at least the impression that local law enforcement may have been  involved in covering it up Boeckmann's activities. This is another issue that warrants investigation.

In the meantime, the numerous corroborating reports of solid evidence of criminal acts committed by Judge Boeckmann, along with the recent statement by the Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission's director that, in his opinion Boeckmann's is "the worst case of judicial misconduct in Arkansas history," warrant the filing of criminal charges against him.

Therefore I, the undersigned, along with others supporting this petition, insist that your office immediately file criminal charges against Boeckmann.

Thanks for your time
