Nintendo has recently discontinued spot pass for Swapnote due to inappropiate content being sent to minors. This is not the correct solution, there are parental controls that can be used to limit children's online interaction, promoting and adding functionality to these parental controls could prevent the problem from occuring.
Another solution would be to create a 'best friends' list, the user could add people to this list and chose to only recieve Swapnotes from people on this list, this adds an extra layer of security as the user has to allow Swapnotes from this person and stops Swapnotes from random people.
I, along with many other Nintendo DS users are outraged at Nintendo's decision to remove the spot pass feature and we ask Nintendo to revoke their decision, re-enable spot pass and search for other solutions.
Why should the whole Nintendo community be punished for others wrongdoing or misuse of the application?
