Bring F1 back to Free-to-Air TV for good and reduce race ticket prices

F1 has been in a state of decline for a number of years and it has just been announced that TV coverage of every race will be exclusive to Sky from 2019. As well as this, ticket prices for races are still way too high for the average fan. The sport is essentially becoming elitist and is forcing out the true fans.

What us, the fans, want is for this current path to be reversed. Not only will it draw in more fans but it will also help rejuvenate the sport to its former glory. If you put F1 back on Free-to-Air television then a lot more fans will watch the sport. This can only be a good thing as more viewers means more money to push the sport forward. The same can be said for ticket prices. Many of the races in recent years have not been sold out simply because tickets cost way too much. A ticket to the British GP cost over three times more than a ticket to the WEC Silverstone 6 hour and with the latter you get to see a lot more racing. It simply isn't good enough! Bernie Ecclestone and the Formula One Group are putting themselves ahead of the fans and this needs to change. Hopefully this petition can be the start of this change.
