The Animals Are NOT Being Abused!!! Four Seasons Mobile Pony Rides and Petting Farm

I would like express how hurt and angry I was to see a petition to Stop the Petting Zoo at the Barrie Ontario Promenade Event. I work with the people that raise these animals and are caring people. This petition that went around was a little over board about the animals there being abused. You have probably seen pictures of the minature Braham bull aka zebu named Zack that showed him lying down in some hay. The pictures also show him losing some of his fur. Well he is getting old and gets a few bites from bugs witch gets irritated just like us humans when we get bites from bugs. They are well fed and are provided clean water. Some people mentioned that the animals were not in air conditioned or shaded enviroment. Well I nevered heard of a barn with air condition and nature doesnt have air conditioning. When you see animals in the fields on a hot day they are usually resting on their sides. You would see this driving in the counrty at a farm. So are you going to call the OSPCA because the cows are lying down on their sides or even a goat. People also mentioned that the animals were getting fed old apples. I assure you that they are not getting fed old apples by the owner. Yes in the picture the apples looked a bit brown but apples turn brown very fast and these animls are also fed grains with fresh water. So I decided to do my research on who posted the petition to stop the petting zoo. The lady who is sponsoring it saw the pictures from another lady who is vegan and belongs to a vegan and vegetarian group on Facebook. I have nothing against people that are vegans or vegetarians dont get me wrong, but from hearing experiences some of these people sometimes go to far and not actually do their research on the animals care or educate themselves about the animals. These same people from the group were arranging to go with signs to protest against the petting zoo. Yes people did come down to protest and it was funny, I saw two people wearing leather boots, I wonder which animal that come from. I always remembered going to a petting zoo with my family or sometimes with the school I went to. I remember being educated about certian animals that were at the zoo and enjoyed interacting with them. I want to ensure everybody the Police and OSPCA did come and found that the animals were fine and well cared for. So thank you for being concerned about the animals welfare but if you see something , maybe ask about the animal and do your research. I hope nobody got offeneded but it hurts me and the people that care for these animals that people would actually think our animals are being abused. The top picture I have posted is Zack that people were worried about and this picture was taken today with him kissing me. He loves getting pets and is very happy in his enviroment. I would also like a personal letter from our Mayor Jeff Lehman benifitting the animals and Four Seasons are well cared for. Thank you.
