Demand Congress Stop Attacking Net Neutrality Rules Made by FCC!

One month ago the Federal Communications Commision ruled in favor of protecting Net Neutrality by a 3-2 vote of the five commissioners. They have since proposed strict guidelines that prohibit broadband providers from blocking apps, throttling download speeds, and implementing paid fast lanes to privilege certain traffic sources over others. The rules will apply to wireless service providers as well as broadband providers, and will prevent carriers from slowing down their networks for any reason other than “reasonable network management.”

Now Congress wants to haul the FCC into their chambers on Capitol Hill and question them on the rules even though many members of congress have shown they have no idea what this mean, Ted Cruz said Net Neutrality was like "Obamacare for the internet," Over 4 Million people including myself and 40,000 corporations like Google and Etsy worked hard to ensure the FCC made the right decision and implemented these rules to stop Comcast, Verizon, and Time Warner from creating their slow lanes and now the republican led congress wants to undo all our hard work. On top of that, they might even cut the FCC's funding to stop them from being able to enforce their rules, we need to send a strong message to congress that we will not stand by and let them protect the interests of Big Telecom!

Sign this petition demanding that congress Back Down and let the FCC do it's job and that they do not under any circumstances cut the FCC's funding!!

Dear Congress,

We, the undersigned, demand you stop standing in the way of Net Neutrality. You gave the FCC the authority to regulate utilities like the internet, now you need to step aside and let the FCC do its job to protect the internet from the interests of Coporations like Comcast, Verizon, and Time Warner. 4 Million Americans and 40,000 companies like Google have fought tooth and nail for this and we will not see you destroy our hard work. We demand you stop attacking the net neutrality rules made by the FCC! Let the FCC do its job!

Sincerely,
