Was a great Canadian hockey goaltender.
His career spawned from 1959 when he started in Junior hockey with the Ste. Catherines Teepees and ended in 1977 with the Washington Capitals, in between he played brilliantly with the Detroit Red Wings and the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL.
Considered one of the most spectacular and acrobatic goalies of his time. In 1966 he was the 1st player from a losing team to win the Conn Smythe Trophy awarded to the best Stanley Cup play-off player every season and also the 1st goaltender to do so.
He was the last goaltender to play every game of his team in one season, 1964-65.
In the NHL he played a total of 518 games with a GAAv of 3.04 and registered 40 shutouts while playing for some of the weakest teams in the league.
Roger Crozier is the only number 1 goaltender for a team of the NHL Original Six teams during the 1960 to 1979 period not be elected to the the Hockey Hall of Fame.
