Sign & Support the Peace Arch Holiday Winter Light Display (Dec 20th - Jan 3rd ) Proposal

The International Peace Arch Association (IPAA) is asking you to support our proposal to Washington State Parks and British Columbia Parks. We need to show international cross border community support for this project. The project details are outlined below:

Diagram of the holiday light display.

The HOLIDAY WINTER LIGHT DISPLAY serves as a reminder of the important history of the Peace Arch as we honor this years 95th anniversary of its 1921 dedication. The display commemorates its unique history, for when the Peace Arch was dedicated it was illuminated by lights similiar to the Parliment Buildings in Victoria, BC.

As we move toward the centennial of the Peace Arch in 2021, we are proposing a special "Holiday Winter Lights Illumination" of the Peace Arch to be held for two weeks annually beginning this December 20th, through January 3, 2017, leading up to 2021. It is a fitting tribute to the history of the Peace Arch and the founders of this globally known Peace Monument.
