COS 301 Exam

We as COS 301 students would like to draw attention to the following issues:

Firstly, we were told all chapters will be examined and which ones to focus on, but they did not appear. We once attended a lecture where one of our lecturers gave us a detailed scope as to what we should we focus on for the exam, and most of those points were not examined.

Secondly, we had an activity in class with one of our other lecturer and we didn't manage to do any corrections regarding that activity due to time and the questions were examined.

Thirdly, the study guide stipulates that our tenders were going to be marked by our lecturers, but they weren't as the lecturer decided to no longer count it in our mark allocation, long after we had handed them in.

Fourthly, majority of the students found the time allocated for the examination inadequate to complete the exam.

We feel that some of us are close to completing our year project and the exam may put us to a disadvantage to continue with it.

We, as students of COS 301 at the University of Pretoria, ask that the following be considered:

- All students should be allowed to write the aegrotat on the 27/06/18
