We need this shelter at this bus stop like the other bus stops in town, so that people can have some kind of shelter from the elements while waiting on the bus. The city will install and take care of upkeep on the shelter, so there is no cost to the owner of the shopping area for this shelter.
The weather in Kokomo is very unpredicable and can be very harsh at times. The buses run once an hour to the stops. If say it is raining or snowiing and you are sitting there waiting for your bus to come, you are getting wet and cold and so are the items you just took the time to go shopping for Not only could some of the items you have bought get ruined but you could end up sick just trying to buy your groceries for the month or the week.
The shelter would at least help keep some of the wind and rain and other harsh elements away from you, if you had a shelter to sit in and wait for the bus.
