Sea World claims to be all about celebrating, protecting and loving marine life. Well, I think it's time they put more action behind that sentiment by banning plastic straws from their theme parks.

As a society we go through way too much plastic. It doesn't end up recycled or reused; instead, it ends up in landfills or the ocean. By taking the simple step of cutting out drinking straws from our usage, we could avoid creating SO MUCH extra trash that pollutes the ocean and kills animals.
Most people know how to drink out of the side of a cup and children or differently abled folks have sippy cups or other specialized drinking system, so straws are truly just to facilitate laziness for people. We don't need to use them, and breaking out habit of using them would have a great impact on the environment.
Sea World should lead the charge by cutting plastic drinking straws out of their theme parks. In the end, they'd even save money! Yes, people would be annoyed at first. But it would also serve as an amazing awareness opportunity, which could encourages folks to stop using straws in their everyday lives!
