Give Homeschooling Parents A Tax Deduction

  • by: Ashley Brewer

Parents have to sacrifice a lot in order to have their children be educated at home. Since education is taking place at the home, parents should have the financial resources they need for projects, field trips, and extra-curricular classes.

It is unjust to have homeschooling parents pay a tax for a public service they do not use.

Greetings!

This petition is to tell the local, state, and federal government that homeschooling parents sacrifice much of their income to make sure their children get the quality education they need. Its sole purpose is to help homeschooling parents receive a tax deduction each year they homeschool their child/children. Curriculums aren't cheap! Neither are all the field trips, supplies, and various other expenses it takes to school your own child/children.

Every child is different. Every child has different needs. Parents who take on the task should not have to pay for taxes going to public education when they need every penny they own to go towards their children's home education.
