Stop Miami-Dade County Animal Services From Being A High-kill Shelter

Every year, Miami- Dade animal services impound more than 37,000 animals. They do not limit the amount of animal they intake, so in result... like thousands of other humane societys in America, innocent lives are taken due to "space" or "money". Every life is important and we should respect that. Miami is one of the most populated dities in America, not only in human population, but in pet population. In fact Miami deals with a pet overpopulation problem. So if we can change this shelter from using euthenasia... we would be saving hundreds and maybe thousands of animals a year. Lets make a change. On average, every day the shelter euthenizes around 30 dogs a day. Can you do the math on how many innocent lives that is a year? Miami animal dade services "times" the animals. Meaning if they do not get a home in around 5 days, their time is up.
We the undersigned, are writing to inform you the public is concerned about your shelter.

The public is asking that you listen to them and their concerns about your shelter being a kill shelter
So many innocent animals are losing their lives when you have other resources such as rescue groups that you can work with to continue finding these animals forever homes. This shelter has overpopulation but that is no excuse for not working with other organizations that will take these animals rather than this facility euthanizing them.

Please change your procedure and become a true HUMANE Society.
