Don't let ignorance or media infect logic. Does the average person know the difference between a sex offender, predator and a pedophile? Do you know that all sex offenders are placed into one law? Those who seek children and those who sextext are the same under law. Low Risk and HIGH risk are under the same law. Prostitutes, Johns, and Public urination, same law. Do you know that those who had one offense with someone 16-17 years old, over 20 years ago, signed and completed a court contract and should be free since the time was served, have now, out of the blue, had sex offender registration for life added, which is
ex post facto. This voids the contract and the court should be sued for
double jeopardy. Did you know that elderly sex offenders are taken from nursing homes and put in jail because they did not register? Isn't it time that the laws are rewritten? Murderers receive less sentence than this. Murderers have no registry and could be living in your neighborhood too. Violent felons have no registry, want them next door? This country was founded on principles, and one of them was prison was penance not punishment.
