Ask Coca-Cola to Switch to Sustainable Aluminum!

A recycling company called Novelis invented a new type of aluminum can sourced from 90 percent recycled aluminum. The can -- dubbed the "evercan" -- is cheaper to make than those most drink companies currently use, and is much more sustainable. Sadly, top beverage companies aren't showing interest in the evercan.

Big soda companies are focusing more on PET plastic bottles, but aluminum cans still have a significant market. There is no reason why beverage companies can't simply make the swich to a more sustainable product. It would cut their cost and promote recycling.

If Coca-Cola moves forward in embracing the evercan, other major beverage companies will follow suit. Please sign the petition to urge Coke to use a more sustainable aluminum can!

As you may know, a recycling company called Novelis invented a new type of aluminum can sourced from 90 percent recycled aluminum. The can -- dubbed the "evercan" -- is cheaper to make than those most drink companies currently use, and is much more sustainable. We are surprised that top beverage companies aren't showing interest in the evercan.

We understand you might be more on PET plastic bottles, but aluminum cans still have a significant market. We believe that adopting the evercan will increase your profit margin while showing that you care about recycling and the environment.

If Coca-Cola moves forward in embracing the evercan, other major beverage companies will follow suit. We respectfully urge you to switch to a more sustainable aluminum can. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
