Petition to Terminate Employment of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis of Kentucky has made a mockery of the United States Court system and is using religious arguments to prevent same sex couples from receiving marriage licenses in Rowan County Kentucky. Not only is she in violation of a Supreme Court order but as a publicly elected official working for the people she has absolutely no right to claim religious objections. As a public official it is Ms. Davis's duty to serve all constituents and she is violation of her duties. Her employment should therefore be terminated.

Dear Governor Beshear,

I write to you today to ask you to terminate the employment of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis. Ms. Davis is in direct violation of not only your own orders but also the Supreme Court of the United States. Her rogue behavior in defying the nation's court system as well as your own orders makes her a liability to your Administration and to the integrity of the justice system in the United States. Kim Davis cannot claim religious objections to same-sex marriage in an attempt to not issue marriage licenses in Rowan County. As a public official she must uphold the rule of law and failure to due so should have severe consequences.

Respectfully submitted,

Patrick Louis
