Demand the Australian Government Takes Action to Control Deadly Air Pollution

Coal-related pollutants continue to rise at many of Australia's biggest mine sites, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

A recent study alleges that "particulate pollution from coal mining had tripled in the past decade. Particulates can spur premature death by worsening existing heart and lung conditions."

The story reports, "The latest National Pollutant Inventory, released at the end of March, revealed the extent of 93 key toxins from 4000 enterprises, including particulates that can spur premature death by worsening existing heart and lung conditions."

Australians deserve so much better - the Government must make changes to control air pollution by introducing much stronger controls and regulations.

Please sign the petition to demand the Australian Governments takes action to control air pollution by toughening laws and limiting pollutants allowed into the atmosphere.
