As 8th graders, we want our dinner dance to be special and memorable. Since this is our last year, we strongly feel that we should have a say as to what venue we choose for this important event. La Fortuna is not a representation of a fun dance for us 8th graders. If we cannot get the Elan, the least we could receive is to have the same opportunities as our previous 8th graders have had in the past. The Empire Club and the Elan are both great contenders and we would appreciate it if we could get either of these venues. We advise the administration to listen to our thoughts and consider this decision as many people are not happy with La Fortuna. La Fortuna is more outdated and not the first choice where we like to have our dinner dance. However, The Empire Club and the Elan are both very modern and up to date with our grade's preferences. We hope you sign our petition and listen to our concerns.
