Delaware: No Parental Rights for Rapists!

Delaware mothers whose children were conceived as a result of sexual assault still lack protections against rapists seeking custody and other parental rights. 27 states currently have laws allowing termination of parental rights of restriction of custody or visitation in rape cases, but Delaware is not one of them.

Most women who become pregnant as a result of rape choose to carry their children to term and raise them. Forcing these women to endure costly and emotional traumatizing custody battles prolongs the healing process and potentially places them and their children at risk for intimidation and harassment.

Please sign the petition to urge Delaware to pass laws to prevent rapists from seeking parental rights!

We, the undersigned, are concerned that Delaware lacks protections against rapists seeking parental rights.
