Please sign and share to demand that the manager of this bar in Montreal is fired for his discriminatory actions in kicking out a lesbian couple from the restaurant.

The owner of the bar on Montreal’s West Island bar apologized for the ill actions of his manager who kicked out a lesbian couple from the bar because they were seen kissing.  One of the women, Ms. Jess Goldberg has been frequenting this bar, the LeManoir in Pointe-Claire for many years. She was approached by the manager of the bar and asked to leave when she and another woman shared a brief kiss. Ms. Goldberg shared her disdain on face book and received great support.

She goes on to say that “this type of discrimination is repulsive; they kicked us out of the bar for being gay!” Ms. Goldberg goes on to say that this would not have happened to a heterosexual couple. "This has never ever happened to me in my life. I've been to bars downtown, in different cities and different countries and I've never been treated like this."

The bar’s owner, Peter Sergakis openly apologized for the ill behavior of his manager stating "If they were kissing as normal, two people kissing one another, it's unacceptable to tell them to leave.” He also says that the way his manager behaved does not reflect his values, and his bars are open to all members of the LGBT community. However, the manager was not disciplined for his actions and is a reflection of poor judgment.
