My name is LaShon Reed I am the aunt of Adonis Reed the 4 year old little angel that was murdered by the court appointed guardians live in boyfriend .
I am asking you to sign this petition so we can reform a system that is not designed to protect the welfare of the many children it has failed . The system that is in place gives the right on decision making on where the very children that have been removed due to negligence, abuse or abandonment will be place also allow these said children to be placed not with the family members who truly care and love these children and have been a major part of their lives to be taken away because they were the only one protecting the children and reporting to the " proper authorities " their concerns only to have the parents to dictate out of anger and selfishness who said children shall be placed in the care of ...If these decisions are made by the very ones you have removed the children from because they were deemed incapable of taking care of and providing for said children then why would these parents be allowed to enforce the placement of the children and stipulate were they will be placed.
I and my family were treated like complete strangers to children that only had stability when they were with us for weeks and even months at a time with no contact from their Mother all because she lied continuously to the courts and stated we did not have any part in the children's lives prior to them being removed which can have been proven on all levels yet the courts and workers dismissed us at the mothers request . only for them to be placed with a friend of the mother's in which who's care My nephew was Violently killed . Myself and my family also reported the concerns we had with the court appointed guardian for not abiding by the court mandated order of protection against the mother and still allowing visitation between mother and children by dropping them at mothers know residence while she attended work and giving mother government issued benefit card to have food stamps cashed in to bail mothers boyfriend out of jail.
Paternal family should have rights as it pertains to the well being of children . Be it Aunts , Uncles , Sisters and Brothers as long as the best interest for the children can be met...........
Please sign so we can change the lives of so many other children who will fall victim to this system if change is not made..... I would also like to start a foundation in honor of my nephew Adonis Reed looking for help and donations......
