Protect our Water Rights Now

Quivira National Wildlife Refuge filed an impairment on the Rattlesnake basin for water. The GMD5 board members have proposed a Local Enhanced Management Area Plan (LEMA) to remedy the problem. However, the plan has many holes in it; namely not addressing the shutting down MDS wells (attached list) “first in right, first in time”, leaving plan open ended, meaning they can come take more water in the future as they see fit. Local farmers need to take action for local personal input befor this becomes law.
