Endesa and Iberdrola: support a new model of wind generator that doesn’t slaughter birds

The boom of wind energy has been a major breakthrough in our society, as it’s a source of clean and renewable energy that can help us to reduce the emission of gases that cause greenhouse effect and, therefore, mitigate pollution and climate change.

However, there are not only advantages: although the wind turbines are increasingly efficient, they still generate noise pollution, have an important impact on the landscape, degrade the land and, above all, are the responsible of slaughtering thousands of birds and bats every year, just in Spain. The situation is so serious that in some places the wind turbines can exterminate almost 80% of the birds in the area, according to environmental organizations.

Luckily, a small Spanish company promoted by young entrepreneurs is driving a prototype that can change radically the way we understand the wind farms. It’s a bladeless wind tower, with a flexible structure and a system of magnets and coils that generates electricity with wind efficiently, reducing installation costs and maintenance and, most importantly, without affecting wildlife.

This new model of wind tower could be a miracle that saves the lives of thousands and thousands of birds. But this prototype needs the support of the most important Spanish energy companies, Endesa and Iberdrola, to start to work as soon as possible. Help me save the wildlife of our skies: sign my petition and ask Endesa and Iberdrola to finance and commit to use this new model of wind generator that can save millions of animal lives.

Borja Prado, president of Endesa / Jose Ignacio Sánchez, president of Iberdrola:

Commit to use the new model of wind generator designed by Vortex Bladeless that can save thousands of bird lives every year.
