Low commercial value lynx (used fur). Like many predators, it plays an important role in the breeding of forest biological communities. Only in hunting areas where plant deer, sika deer, pheasants, its presence is undesirable. Lynx fur excellent: thick, silky and high. The length of guard hairs on the back reaches 5 centimeters, and on the abdomen - 7 centimeters beneath abundant soft underwool. Coloring skin varies from reddish to bluish tones with a spotty pattern. Lynx fur has always valued highly. But starting with the 1950 prices on the international market have been increasing at an unprecedented rate. So, at the Leningrad fur auction in 1958 for the best lynx skins were received from 73 dollars in 1973 - $ 660, and in 1977 - $ 1300. This is due to surviving decades of fashion (a fact in itself is very rare) to a long-haired furs, among which the first place lynx fur.
