MP Maria Miller designated a house in South london as her "2nd" home which allowed her to claim Mortgage Interest payments from the taxpayer (this needs to be stopped as well), even though a report suggested this appeared to be her main residence.
The bought the house with £215000 mortgage and increased this twice without notifying commons officials.
The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards suggested she pay back £45000, but MP`s decided she should just pay back £5,800.
She had a QC to represent her but was accused by Standards commissioner Kathryn Hudson of trying to discredit and thwart the investigation.
We need to send a message to the Government and ALL M.P`s regardless of political party that the people of the UK will no longer accept or tolerate corruption, financial misrepresentation and a lifestyle funded at the tax payers expense . Also that the people of the UK want more control taken of M.P`s and their expenses, 2nd home payments, employing unqualified and overpaid family members and any other "perks".
The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards also needs to be overhauled and not made up of M.P`s or their affiliates.
Maria Miller should pay back ALL the monies that have been wrongly claimed and sacked from her position as MP , also barred from holding such office again.

We , the signatories of this petition require you to act on behalf of the people of the U.K and a, sack Maria Millar for falsely claiming over £45000 in expenses, b, pass all information regarding this matter to the Police for a full and thorough investigation , c, bar Mrs Millar from holding any position of trust and power in the future. Such behaviour by PUBLIC servants is totally unacceptable and needs to be dealt with .
The people of the U.K are tired of hearing about M.P`s abusing their positions and living a lifestyle that is funded by the public. The whole issue of expenses needs to be publicly and fully overhauled .The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards needs to be a totally independant body with no political affiliations whatsoever and no M.P`s sitting on the commission.
All M.P`s should only receive payments for work related expenses not for funding a lifestyle paid for by the public . The 2nd ,3rd et al allowances should be stopped M.P`s should have their main residence within their constituency and if they need to be in London then Hotels or other accomodation should suffice.
As a public servant we expect you to deliver our wishes and deal with the issue of Mrs Millar , and ensure in future that this sort of behaviour is dealt with.
