STOP IDAHO'S GOVERNOR BUTCH OTTER'S SLAUGHTER POLICY ON IDAHO WOLVES

I have spent many days reviewing posts on wolf advocacy sites in Idaho and the surronding states. I see their desperate cry for justice for their beloved wolves in so many different ways, yet their cries seem to go unanswered!

I too cry out to save the wolves in Idaho, and my cry goes unrequited. Much like the forlorn cry of the wolf itself, baying at the moon, or to one another, their cries too- go unanswered.

If we could understand the language of the wolf, would we know of their desperation and fear due to man's arrogance and despicable greed?
Would we also hear their advice to one another to remain strong and steadfast in their packs? To help their family overcome the atrocities that befall them?
Yes, I believe we would.

Wolves feel pain of the spirit and heart just as surely as that from a bullet, trap, snare, or vicious attack by a pack of hunters' dogs.
These intelligent animals have lived for hundreds of thousands of years learning to hunt side by side with their pack members. They have learned to work as a team, they learned to love one another knowing of the need to be a community. They are benevolent to their alpha leaders knowing he leads for the good of the pack. The wolf has learned how to live within their means in lean times as well as times of plenty.
But, it is only in the last 200 years that wolves have learned to be distrustful of humans-and rightly so!

You have declared wolves public enemy number one, and have done everything in your power to rid the State of Idaho wolves entirely.
You do not listen to scientific facts that prove the wolf need not be feared. Proof of the myriad of gifts that these apex predators bring to our wilderness ecosystem. No, you perpetuate the hate for the wolf through the propagandist. Spreading tales that the wolves attack humans, kills there livestock in inflated numbers and is destroying the once abundant ungulates that hunters need to sustain their sport!

Now, the situation has become much worse, as our state and federal government has gotten into the act of playing God, deciding who or what should be allowed to survive and what should not. With pockets lined with blood money from various nefarious legions, like hunters groups and the Cattleman's Association, you ignore our pleas for an end to the wolf killing machine. And, make no mistake, it is a killing machine! With greasy wheels and pivotal gears meshing and grinding together in unison to keep out the voices of its people.
How, can any of us feel confident in our "perfect union" dedicated in the preface of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when the very voice of our discord, WE THE PEOPLE are ignored!

I am not a learned scholar in the ways of politics or politicians, but I do know that slipping secret Riders onto the underbelly of a Appropriation Bill is wrong. I know that voting these Riders into law because they are hidden or secret is wrong. I know that keeping the voters in the dark for much of what they are doing that will inadvertently negatively affect each and every one of us IS WRONG!

And Govenor Otter, I know that your private hatred of wolves coupled with your manipulation of Idaho's Fish, Game and Wildlife Services fact reports and statistics to favor your skewed and vicious lies about wolves IS WRONG!

So, it comes to pass that I feel betrayed by my government at such a devastating cost. You see I have always been a great supporter and advocate for my country. I BELIEVED in my country! What's more, I have defended this country in word and deed. But, to what avail? To see greedy crooked people run my country into the soon to be desolate ground?
I do know that I am voting against everyone of the misfits that hold office now, and you sir, are one of them! I hope others will see the hypocrisy of these politicians and will vote their conscious as well!

It's a shame, isn't it? That for 200 plus years America has led the way for democracy and freedom, only to become a quagmire of unethical slaves to the machine!

My determination to save my beloved wolves will NEVER be abandoned. I will remain strong and steadfast, working with my pack to save the wolves from their impending extinction. I will not stop until there are none of us left, and even then I will be as the lone wolf, fighting bravely in the face of adversity until the end.

Your reign of terror on Idaho's wolves must stop now!
