New Ipswich Citizens Oppose the NED Gas Pipeline & Compressor Station.

The NED natural gas pipeline project is a bad deal for New Ipswich. It is of no benefit to the citizens. The project will take property by eminent domain for private gain, it will decrease home values, and threaten our water and air quality.

We, the undersigned residents and property owners of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, direct the Town of New Ipswich Board of Selectmen and Conservation Commission to ACTIVELY OPPOSE approval by the FERC and the NH SEC for construction of the NED gas pipeline and compressor station by the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company, LLC (a Kinder Morgan company). This project is a bad deal for New Ipswich. It is of no benefit to the citizens. The project will take property by eminent domain for private gain, it will decrease home values, and threaten our water and air quality. In addition, we direct the Town of New Ipswich to deny Kinder Morgan/TGPC access to survey town property and town roads.

Update #28 years ago
Hello Fellow Pipeline Opponents,

We have NOT closed this petition yet. The Selectmen have not yet been willing to recognize the enormous opposition to the pipeline and compressor station so we need to keep increasing the number of signers. It is just for people who live or own property in New Ipswich to sign. Between this online petition and the paper versions, we have collected over 800 signatures, but more are needed! Tell your neighbors!

Thank you for spreading the word,
Irene

Thank you so much for signing this petition. We plan to close the petition tomorrow at noon so that we can present it to the Selectmen at their 6 pm meeting. This petition is meant to be the voices of New Ipswich residents. Unfortunately, we will be needing to delete any names that have not given New Ipswich as their address. Please help us give it one last boost! Forward it to your friends. Together with the paper petitions, we have already collected over 500 signatures. A few more welcome!
