Because abandoned and mistreated animals are without protection in a city where responsibles are not aware and don´t take in account the importance of having a good and effective service of this situation.
Because animal´s lovers are fed up of the situation.
Because the political system is not respecting the democratic voice of 30.000 citizens and the local law to protect animals is old, incomplete and without any result
Because it´s time to work with Animal SHELTER Organizations in order to put an end to this dramatic situation

The legal complaints were closed without any results in favour of the animals. They never appeared, probably they all are dead or sold. Again the innocent victims paid with the highest price: their life.
Telde is a very important , 102 km2 and more than 100000 citizens. A yearly range of >= 1200 abandoned animals (except those killed by their owners ...), dogfighting without control
Several serious cases of abandoned, mistreated and killed animals but no results.
An "enterprise" called Hotdog in charge of collecting abandoned animals. Not everyone is glad with it. Now the Town Hall has no money to pay them. Animals are abandoned and you can see packs of them with the risks everyone should have in mind:
.-traffic accidents with terrible consequences for animals and humans
.-mistreated and killed animals (There are many hunters in the area)
We urge you to sign asking not only the Town Hall responsibles but the Local Government of Gran Canaria and the Islands, to put an end to this terrible situation
Last January, PACMA (Party against mistreated animals) gave 30.000 signatures to the Local Parliament in order to update and change the old and incomplete law "protecting animals in the Canary Islands". Nothing has been done. Legally you have to present 15000. The citizens asked for a change with their signatures, but the politicians looked at the other side, this is not democracy
When A district askes for a service to control abandoned animals, they never take in account a specific profile regarding the relationship and experience with animals. On the other hand, you can easily see how negative those people are in their relation with animals, but unluckily our friends, the animals, can´t either vote or speak.
It is time to claim for a real change because more than 30.000 people have signed for it. It is time to consider a serious and quick solution to the Kennel of Telde and the situation regarding the abandoned animals.
