Activist around the world are struggling to get an elderly polar bear out of Argentina heat.
Arturo is a 28 year old polar bear who lives in Mendoza under the most horrific conditions. The scorching hot weather is taking it's toll on him. A zoo in Canada has offered to adopt him but because of their greediness and pride Mendoza won't let him go.
Arturo is suffering terribly from the heat in Mendoza , which is not suitable for an animal meant to live in much colder temperatures. A polar bear kept in a zoo in Buenos Aires died from the effects of the heat. That bear lived in much better conditions, in an enclosure with a deep pool and big blocks of ice! Arturo lives in a concrete enclosure with only a shallow dirty pool. There is no way to escape the heat which can rise to 40 degrees Celsius.

You have the name of the patron saints of animals. Is it not enough that we have so many animals in the world suffering and killed because of poaching, canned and just plain hunting and blood sports due to either religion, culture, plain stupidity or just evil intent.
Argentina is your country and I'm sure you would have some kind of influence with that government. Mendoza Zoo is a state zoo.
