Regional Centers of California take action to assist families w 2+ w IHSS & NF/AH/IHO waiver
We are calling on Regional Centers in California to take action. As of January 1, 2015 families with two or more on IHSS (In Home Supportive Services) will be capped and many will be unable to provide hours for more than one child that they care for.
Additionally those on the NF/AH and IHO waivers will be greatly impacted.
We want Regional Centers to utilize their lobbying arm ARCA to reach out to our Governor and state legislature to make things right for these families.
If regional centers do not take action, many of these families will have no choice but to request gap funding from the regional center as the need is still there of the children as is the IPP that states the parent is providing the IHSS service.
