Cats are starving, trapped in the hot Arizona Sun and Marriott Buttes won't work with local rescue g

There are homeless and starving cats on Marriotts The Buttes property in Tempe, AZ.

* Although the management had agreed last year to work with a local shelter, they never returned calls

*The Buttes is reported to use Ecolab to 'trap the cats' and Ecolab also refuse to return calls. (Ecolab websites mentions nothing about being qualified to trap and transport cats)

* Traps are in the direct hot Arizona sun!

It is scary to think of not only how a 'grounds service' will treat the homeless cats. And what are they doing that they are reluctant to admit to?

Recently learned another guest at the Buttes saw: "This kitty is dying in the heat. It was 10pm and she was breathing with her mouth open. They wait outside the resturant doors waiting for food."

The kitties are starving and thirsty. Please, do not stay at the Buttes Marriott or any Marriott location. Let them know you care about their mistreatment of cats and will not stand for it.

Marriott needs to be responsible to their community and provide a relaxing place to stay.  Homeless starving cats is not relaxing. At the Buttes in Tempe they use a grounds company Ecolab - to trap the cats and it is distressing. They refuse to return calls to a local rescue group.

A local rescue group was trying to work with the Buttes management, but their calls were never returned.

Marriott needs to be a responsible leader and work with the local rescue groups for a humane way in dealing with the cats on their property.
