Require Animals Sold in Pennsylvania Pet Stores to Come from Shelters! #AdoptDontShop

  • by: Kelly Irwin

The number of homeless animals who end up in shelters and have to be euthanized is absolutely staggering. It is unconscionable for healthy animals to be killed because no homes can be found for them, while pet stores sell animals that come from disreputable breeders. Pennsylvania is a particularly egregious place for this type of issue, since there are a large number of puppy mills in this state. Let's require pet stores to obtain their animals from shelters, and rescue innocent animals who may otherwise be euthanized.
