A situation has arisen in which immediate action must be taken to preserve marine species on the brink of extinction. Oil and gas exploration companies have been permitted by the U.S. Bureau Of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) to make use of sonic cannons to capture images of deposits under the sea bed. It is imperative that we force the Obama Adminstration to revisit this ruling and provide scientific evidence that sonic cannons will not harm the eco-sphere. We know for a fact that such evidence does not exist. In fact, the use of sonic cannons has already been shown to kill whales and sea turtles.
