DEMAND CLOSURE OF M6 CIRCUS HELL Britain's last lion tamer accused of cruelty

CHIPPERFIELD SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH ANIMAL ABUSE & NEGLECT

November 17, 2016 headlines read (Daily Mail UK) ....."Britain's last lion tamer is accused of animal cruelty as 'traumatised' big cats are filmed 'pacing in tiny dark cages on the back of a truck parked by the M6'"
Chipperfield Circus has been accused of mistreating three tigers and two lions, the big cats were kept in a trailer by the M6 for approximately four months.
Activists reported the cats were kept in the dark for 14 hours and not let out to exercise.
The Government rules that animals should get a "minimum of six hours outside".

In response Mr Chipperfield says they have "a new trailer" and that the "cats were kept in due to flooding".

Don't allow Chipperfield to get off with a "slap on the wrist". These wild animals have been traumatised and treated worse than a criminal in a jail cell.

Should we be expected to be happy with a "token bandaid" approach by Mr Chipperfield to address the issues raised by Animal Defenders International (ADI)?

There are photographs capturing the state in which these performing "circus" animals are kept. How can anyone imply that they care and love for animals and at the same time keep them caged in small trailers, long periods of which are in darkness. No exercise, and so close to roads that there is no peace for them.
Just fumes, roaring of engines, horns, iron bars, small enclosures with no access to dirt and grass.
How is this acceptable?

If the general population can't understand the mental and physical anguish these wild animals suffer, it means we have to care enough to push the laws and regulations for change and implementation.

In addition to the above Mr Chipperfield has expressed his frustration at changes to be put into effect regarding the use of wild animals in circuses.

The arrogance of Mr Thomas Chipperfield is shown by his comments; "We've been licensed by the Government to work with these animals. They've said the way we work is acceptable. So it doesn't make sense to say in a year's time we're not going to let you do it.' & showing his disdain about animal welfare activists there is the rather smart comment... "But the general public don't read animal rights websites. If they want to bring their kids to the circus, they do."

The article went on to say..."But the business has changed since the days when the traditional circus was a staple of Christmas Day television and millions thrilled to the sight of clapping sea lions and bears on motorbikes. Of the 50 circuses in Britain today only half a dozen still present domestic animals such as horses and dogs. Peter Jolly's Circus is one of only two shows licensed to use more exotic creatures such as camels and zebra. Chipperfield is the only big cat trainer left in a British big top, and with a planned ban on wild animal acts due to come into force next year, he will probably be the last. For Chipperfield, it's a frustrating situation."

It's time these circuses are shut down. No more animals should be made to suffer for entertainment.

So many petitions! Are they worth it? Are they doing any good?
They stand a GOOD CHANCE of changing the lives for many abused and neglected animals if people bother to take the few minutes to sign and share.
Then there are the "pledges". I understand it can get "a bit much", BUT.......without ALL of US fighting for them, WHO WILL?
