Overturn council's decision to ban motorhomes from seafront.

Ceredigion County Council have issued a ban on motorhomes parking on the seafront after complaints that some campervan/caravan owners where parking for long periods of time on the promenade. They are now looking to further this ban across several sites in their council.

I however feel this victimizes those who through no fault of their own end up houseless or have simply chosen to live an alternative life style. These people pay taxes have jobs and contribute to their local communities. They do NOT steal and leave rubbish, generally speaking they keep themselves to themselves and would never intentionally seek to upset the local communities. Local pubs often welcome the business!

A decision like this one could be considered a precedent and could be used in further decisions in banning other types of vehicles. This decision is from a minority of local b+bs seeking to claim the parking for their guests. However, it has been observed that these motorhomes park away from the place to allow the guests to have parking. If this ban is still set to follow, I would urge the council to reach a compromise to satisfy local businesses and campers alike.

Below is where it is believed there to be a breach of the following Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

Article 29 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights; which clarifies our responsibilities to one another. "We have a duty to other people, and we should protect their rights and freedoms

Article 2 states: "Don’t discriminate. These rights belong to everybody, whatever our differences".

Article 13 states: "Freedom to move. We all have the right to go where we want in our own country and to travel as we wish"
