Hours of operation

Due to the monthly costs to lease and operate Rainbow Market, it cannot stand and remain open for business if it loses 14 hours of operation, and also the inconvinence it will cause others who have shopped there for many years. Everyone knows Rainbow closes its doors at midnight. Closing at 10 p.m. will definately destroy the business which remained open since 1950.

The building was built in 1950 and has been open for business (at the very least) the past 20 years between the hours of 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., 7 days a week. The city and county of Honolulu recently advised the owner that the establishment is allowed to be open for business between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. only. Rainbow Market located at 1720 Palolo Avenue, has served the palolo residents and others daily closing at midnight for many, many years. The City & County of Honolulu allowed and/or ignored it until now. This also contradicts my liquor license which allows me to sell liquor until 12 a.m.
