Cancer, Lupus, Immune disorders, skin rashes, lung and breathing problems.. and the list goes on and on.
Sun Ridge is a community in Raritan Township New Jersey. The residents there pay monthly dues. Some of the money goes directly to pay for a company to apply an application of 3-D Herbicide or weed control four times to the surrounding common areas during the warm months. The condos and townhouses are especially affected.
The grassy areas that are sprayed become the play areas for young children, walking paths for wild animals, pets and jogging and recreation areas for residents. There is a local working farm that has cattle and horses drinking water from the direct runoff generated by rain and the common areas that have been sprayed.
The benefits in using pesticides must be weighed against their deleterious effects on human health,
biological interactions with non-target organisms, pesticide resistance and/or accumulation of these chemicals in the environment.
