Pier 1: Stop Discriminating Against Pregnant Workers!

Kimberly Erin Caselman worked at Pier 1 for over two years, but when she got pregnant the company put her on unpaid leave, even though she wanted to keep working. When she first became pregnant, Pier 1 asked Caselman to provide a doctor's note outlining any restrictions she would have.

Caselman provided the note, which mentioned a few minor restrictions like not lifting anything over 15 pounds and no climbing ladders. After that, she was given eight weeks of light duty, then placed on unpaid leave. Apparently, this is company policy nationwide.

It is unfair to put an employee on break during the time she and her family need money the most. Caselman is still a valuable asset to the company, and their policy toward pregnant women needs to change.

Please sign the petition to urge Pier 1 imports to stop discriminating against pregnant women.

We are writing to voice our concerns regarding Pier 1's policy toward pregnant women.
