Save Stillwater Tennis Courts!

Tennis in Stillwater has suffered from neglect far too long allowing its tennis facilities to decay to the point where the few courts available are virtually unplayable.  Stillwater has only 8 dilapidated courts to serve a population of 45,000+ including high school tennis teams & an active tennis association.  Edmond, Norman, Ponca City, Bartlesville, Enid, Perry, Bristow, you name the city have better courts than Stillwater!

Bottom line: Stillwater ranks LAST in its support of tennis & has the WORST courts in the state. This is extraordinary for a community that promotes its quality of life. The Committee proposes upgrades to Stillwater’s tennis facilities over 4 years that brings the city back to 20 well maintained courts by 2017.

The time has come for Stillwater residents to send a message to the City that third rate failing tennis facilities are unacceptable. Please sign our petition to help us upgrade Stillwater's tennis facilities & improve Stillwater's quality of life.

I support the efforts of the Save Our Courts Committee and ask that the City of Stillwater provide quality tennis facilities to its residents as proposed by the Committee including the construction of new courts at the Stillwater High School athletic complex that will serve as the future home to the Stillwater Tennis Center.

Sincerely,
