Distracted driving includes everything from changing a song on your mp3 player and eating a snack to talking on your cell phone and texting. Although you may think you can do it all when driving, the reality is that driving distracted can kill, whether it is the first time or the 50th time you are taking that risk. Help drive change by taking the pledge to put your distractions away before you drive!

Say No to Distracted Driving.
Drive Change for Safer Roads.

1. Distracted driving is a problem for all drivers, not just teens.
2. It is important that we band together in order to make our roads safer.
3. Change starts with me. I pledge to try to make the roads safer for everyone by not driving distracted.

We the undersigned want to drive change in your community by providing the tools, tips and techniques for embracing safer driving habits.  Check out our video on how we plan to drive change! http://bit.ly/GII8xg

Each day, more than 15 people are killed and more than 1,200 people are injured in car crashes that were reported to involve a distracted driver, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  The CDC also cites motor vehicle accidents as the leading cause of death for U.S. teenagers, many of whom admit to engaging in distracting activities while driving.

Leading the charge, The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS, created UPS Road Code, a national program to teach safe driving techniques to teens. Teaming up with Boys & Girls Club of America, the program strives to empower teens to make a difference in their communities by spreading the word about the dangers of distracted driving. Whether it is answering a text, unwrapping a snack, changing out your MP3 player, chatting on the phone, updating your status, focus on the road when you are driving and help to drive down the stats on teen deaths when behind the wheel.

Thank you for your time and for helping to spread this petition to others. To learn more about the program please visit www.bgca.org/roadcode.

Best,
-UPS Road Code
