A demand that the City of Fort Worth reinstate the policy of picking up animals in traps.

Fort Worth's policy of not picking up animals in a trap is inhumane, is causing hundreds of animals to suffer/die on the street, is discrimnatory against several demographic groups of the city's population and is increasing the feral population on a daily basis. The city must reinstate the trapping policy. As it pertains to ferals, the city should begin picking up ferals as they once did, spay/neuter, give rabies vaccination and return to the neighborhood where originally picked up. To insure that animals being picked up are from the City of Fort Worth only, the city should request two forms of ID from the person the feral is picked up from (or dropped off by). One photo ID and a utility bill. The picture on the ID must match the person at the location and the address on both forms of ID must match said pickup location. City would also be allowed to accept donations for the services that are being provided. City would also allow same person that trapped animal to pick-up at ACC if desired with the appropriate forms of ID. City could also ask that person/persons that trapped animals sign an agreement that they will be responsible for feeding said animal/animals. This petition will be presented to the Fort Worth City Council, Mayor and City Attorney.
