Demand Petsmart have a contingency plan for an emergency

I left my dog at Petsmart daycare, about 2 weeks ago. I had forgotten to leave her food, so returned about 20 minutes later to find that there was an electrical fire in the building. The fire alarms calling for an evacuation of the building. The fire dept had not yet arrived. All the employees, about 15 of them had evacuated the building, leaving every dog and cat caged inside. They were in the courtyard, chit chatting, smoking cigarettes, not a care in the world. I ran in and forced someone to get my dog and left. The smell was brutal and I left with a massive headache.

I called Petsmart and demanded to know their policy in a case like this. 2 weeks later I received an answer. They have no contingency policy, in case of an emergency, except that all employees evacuate the building, leaving helpless animals to suffer the consequences. That was their corporate answer, plain and simple.

Please, help spread the word and boycott this inhumane corporation, who will take your money and not take care of your fur baby in case of an emergency. I am shell shocked that I ever trusted them with my baby.

15 employees could have evacuated a number of animals, but not a one. Please think twice about spending another dime there.

They need to have a plan to save the animals in case of an emergency

Please boycott Petsmart until they have an emergency policy in place. They are entrusted to take care of our fur babies and fail miserably in case of an emergency
