Absurd. Ridiculous. Preposterous. Those are the best words to describe the stories circulated throughout Brazil about Marcio Garcia de Andrade.
Dangerous. Grievous. Attacked. These words describe how an innocent man unfairly accused of horrible crimes that never happened – feels.
Little do people know that this accused person is a successful entrepreneur who has established numerous successful businesses related to credit and finance, a business that employs professionals in several global locations and supports almost 50 families. Such accomplishment at a young age is rare and admirable. This is a man who bends over backwards to make certain that the people in his employ, and his friends and associates – have the tools that they need to succeed. This is the man who believes that if his team succeeds, he succeeds.
This is not a man who would keep a weak person against their will. He empowers people. This is not a man who would unfairly profit from another person’s misery. He lifts people up and helps them find their own personal power.

Authorities have misled the press into releasing fabricated stories about this man. No background investigation about him or anything else was done. The statement they released is all based within the wild imagination of neighbors who know nothing about the innocent activities really occurred in his apartment. Sadly, authorities decided to believe vindictive and fabricated stories rather than conduct an actual investigation. The truth is still out there. Slowly, carefully, the real facts are coming to the surface. People who have actual first -hand knowledge are coming forward and defending Sr. Garcia de Andrade with the truth. The rumors making up the house of cards will that make up these accusations will soon be collapsing.
To those who know Marcio, the news is simply absurd. While it may appear as a terrible joke to those who know him better, it has caused irreparable harm and perhaps irreversible damage to the once good image of this man. Not even one of those who know him well believes the illogical stories published in haste about him.
The damage is done, however. He is unfairly judged in the court of public opinion based on the stories that are making its round in the country. We do not blame the public for giving their own harsh judgment since they are being fed lies and empty statements. What is unacceptable are those people who spread these rumors are still trying to mislead the public about it. Now that’s the real crime happening here.
But we, colleagues, co-workers, friends and relatives; people who know Marcio more than anyone else, won’t let false stories disseminated to the public ultimately ruin his reputation. We take a stand against the injustice this man is facing right now. We will fight against those lies that circulate and blind more people with disgust.
The main goal of our open petition is for everyone involved, including the media, authorities and people of Brazil to know the truth and set things straight. People can try to portray him as a criminal at large. Others may try their best to portray him as a monster preying on other’s vulnerability. They can try to push out horrible and disgusting lies, but the truth will prevail eventually as to the real man behind these fables. The truth will be known.
All these lies will eventually crumble before those who started it and what will remain is the truth about this jolly, kind-hearted and caring man his family and friends know. He will remain as the admirable yet humble and considerate leader in the hearts of his employees working for him at a Global Company which he founded years ago. We all stand united to fight for this person till the end. We won’t let injustice win.
Consider this; With illegal activities dominant on the scene in Rio, and the desire for those in power to make a statement about their ability to strike against crime, why not select an innocent and vulnerable person rather than the real bad guys who are paying the authorities to look the other way? Did Rio need a big splash, right before the eyes of the world were trained on the city and country – to deflect the real problem? Politics is never fair, nor ever transparent.

No more fabricated stories. No more deception. Just the truth and we won’t stop until we are able to let everyone know that this man is falsely charged for crimes he did not commit.
This fight isn’t only about Marcio. This is the fight against injustice. He isn’t the first nor will he be the last person to be charged with crimes based on lies and deception. This is an eye-opener which shows how much change is needed in the present system of things. Everyone should be concerned and help stop the persecution that this innocent man is facing. Let us all help end political lies once and for all.
