Bring Radar Home

I've raised a raccoon from newborn, bottle feeding every 3 hours throughout the day and night, to 3 months old. He went to work with me every day, we were never apart.
I was the first thing he saw and heard once his eyes and ears opened, my dachshunds are his best friends, he is potty trained, he eats grain free dog food, and his treats include fruit loops, marshmellows, and lucky charms. He is such a sweet boy, he thinks he's a dog or a cat!!

I wanted to keep him safe and healthy, so I wanted to take him to the vet for shots, vaccinations and regular checkups.

The vet told me he couldn't see radar unless I had a permit, so, I sent in paperwork to get a permit.

DNR showed up at my house 7pm 7/5/17, the day after my birthday 🙄, and they took my baby 😭😭 they wouldn't tell me where they were taking him or what would happen to him.

Apparently, I was supposed to call and report him within 24 hours of getting Radar, or I'm automatically holding an illegal "wild animal"

Radars family was killed during a house demolition, he's the only one who survived. I didn't plan this! He was brought to me because everyone knows my love for animals. I took him in! The last thing on my mind was to check "laws"... I just wanted to keep the baby safe and fed.

After time went on, after talking with a vet, and doing my research, I was supposed to have a permit within 18 days! I was already past that at this point. But, I wanted to do this right and get my baby to the vet, so I sent in the permit papers anyway.

The very next day, DNR was at my door, to take him. They wouldn't tell me where he was going or what would happen.

My baby doesn't know anything about being "wild" he's scared, and I promised him I'd bring him home. I just need to get my baby back where he's safe. He's not a raccoon that can be easily un tamed, he's a cat/dog and he belongs home with his mommy, brother and sister.
