Keep Trump and other insurrectionists off the ballot

Constitutional scholars have concluded that former president Donald Trump is ineligible to hold public office in the United States, due to his actions and inactions in the January 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol.
Law professor Laurence Tribe and conservative jurist J. Michael Luttig write that, by already publicly evident events, Trump must be disqualified on a reading of part of the 14th Amendment, a post-Civil War provision that excludes from future office anyone who, previously, as a sworn-in public official, “engaged in insurrection or rebellion … or [had] given aid or comfort to the enemies” of the government.
Since States conduct elections, it is essential that citizens demand their elections administrators keep Trump off the ballot.
By signing this petition, you urge and demand that Maryland state officials comply with the 14th Amendment and reject Donald J. Trump from all ballots, in primary and general elections.
