We the people of the Wood Streets Historic District demand reforms within Parking Enforcement.

Within the Wood Streets Historic District; Parking permits are required due to the proximity to RCC. The original intent was to resolve the issue of students parking in the neighborhood. However Riverside City Parking Enforcement has turned this into a revenue stream by fleecing the residents via excessive ticketing. Many instances have occurred of residents being ticketed, attempting to dispute, denied and forced to pay fines. This will only end when we as neighbors, join together and demand the City make reforms.
We are demanding reforms to the zoning and enforcement in our neighborhood:
1. If a resident is ticketed for parking, yet residency can be proven, the ticket shall be immediately dismissed. This shall be possible by mail or web.
a. Proof of residency can be: drivers license, car registration, utility bill, TBD.
b. If a guest of a resident is ticketed, a written voucher by the resident may be submitted and the ticket shall be dismissed.
