Call on the African Development Bank to Keep Women and People in Poverty Safe With Sanitation!

It's shocking — worldwide, 2.3 billion people lack access to basic sanitation, such as toilets or latrines. This causes children to get sick, threatening their health with deadly but preventable conditions like diarrhoea, hindering their ability to go to school, and thrive. For girls, the situation can be even more dangerous, with many vulnerable to sexual violence when forced to go to the toilet outdoors. In the year 2018, this should not still be happening.

The Global Sanitation Fund is at the heart of a global movement to improve sanitation for everyone. But it needs more funding to undertake this life-changing work, particularly in East and Central Africa like in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Madagascar, and Malawi. Currently, 53% of Malawians live every day without access to a toilet.
Call on Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, to pledge money for the Global Sanitation Fund!
