Stop the HOT lanes in Norfolk

The High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes currently on I-64 to I-564 in Norfolk are supposed to be converted into HIGH Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes in December of this year. This has had little media attention much like the tolling of the two tunnels in the area. These roads were built with public money to improve access to Naval Station, Norfolk. In exchange for funding, the reversible (current HOV lanes) were to be designated as High Occupancy Vehicle lanes for a certain number hours a day during peak traffic hours. I feel that no company, should be allowed to toll these roads as it will only take money out of the pockets of many people who must use these roads daily or face the added congestion caused by numerous people not willing to pay to use these lanes. I am also very concerned as the tolls will start out moderate and continue to increase every year like the tunnel deal that was shoved down our throats a few years ago. I feel that the lanes should either be left as-is or simply converted to reversible lanes accessible to all when the requirement for them to be HOV lanes expires in December.
