Restore the Integrity of Our School's Grading System

Navin Naik and Minh-Quan Pham have done everything they could and you are their last hope.  We have come to a crossroad where we have to stand up against injustice.  Navin and Minh-Quan have been stripped of their rightful places in the Class of 2014.  In the beginning of the year, the school administration has advised Navin and Minh-Quan into taking classes, with the understanding that the classes were full credit.  They trusted the school, and took the classes and earned their credit.  However, on Tuesday, when classes were complete, grades were finalized, and far beyond the drop/add dates, they were told that the classes were half credit.  The school refused to abide by what they promised in the beginning of the year.  The school refused to respect their own official transcripts, and arbitrarily decided to change its mind numerous times.  In the last 48 hours, Navin and Minh-Quan have been promised that they would be valedictorian and salutatorian.  Now, the school administration waited until 11 this morning, June 13th, to announce that John would be the sole valedictorian, and that Navin is the salutatorian. We are starting a petition to restore the integrity of the grading system at Ocean Lakes High School.

We are asking for you to sign this petition to compel the school administration to own up to their mistakes, and do the right thing.

We hereby petition to restore the integrity of Ocean Lakes High School's grading system, reflected in transcripts for jobs, scholarships, and university admissions.  Thereby, Navin Naik and Minh-Quan Pham are rightly our class' valedictorian and salutatorian.
