Demand Japan and China Invest in Renewable Energy and NOT New Fossil Fuels

At a time when climate change is threatening the future of the planet, China and Japan are looking to commercially develop a new fossil fuel, according to a report on independent.co.uk.

The commercial development of a frozen fossil fuel known as “combustible ice” has moved closer to reality after Japan and China recently extracted the material from the seafloor.

The report states: "Combustible ice is a frozen mixture of water and concentrated natural gas. Technically known as methane hydrate, it can be lit on fire in its frozen state and is believed to comprise one of the world's most abundant fossil fuels."

"Although experts said that large-scale production remains many years away and that it might be somewhat 'cleaner' than dirty coal — combustible ice could flood the atmosphere with climate-changing greenhouse gases."

The future needs renewable energy and not fossil fuel. Please sign and share the petition to demand Japan and China stops investing in new fossil fuels to save our planet.
